Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan has used his twitter account to dismiss rumours that he has been in negotiations with Chelsea over a possible move.
The Mirror online reports that the 27-year-old Belgian international tweeted; “If I have not spoken with any club, why should I have talked about it with my friends?” With current Italian national team manager Antonio Conte strongly fancied to take over at Stamford Bridge this summer, the player known as “Ninja” is believed to be high on his priority list.
Should the former Juventus tactician get the job, a summer of transition is set to take place at the West London club after a disappointing defence of their Premier League title. A physical presence in midfield is something that the team has lacked this season and Nainggolan’s attributes fit the bill perfectly. The player recently signed a new deal in the Italian capital and the Romans have constantly stated that he is not for sale.
